Chase proposes a concert by a trio of himself, cellist Naseem Alatrash, and percussionist George Lernis, performing original material by the three - music that highlights their multi-cultural collaboration. This includes repertoire based in Jazz, Arabic Maqam, Classical, and Greek percussion. The themes behind the music include immigration, tolerance, historical and cultural solidarity, and environmentalism. This is all new music that will be recorded in their upcoming album to be released early 2023. Chase, Naseem, and George will conduct a Q&A session after the concert, delving into the composition and collaboration process. How do we find common themes and find ways of playing together that is faithful to our backgrounds and highlights our individuality? How do we deal with concepts like Zero-Gravity and Comprovisation which we learned from our mentors like Danilo Perez, John Pattitucci and Wayne Shorter, finding space for spontaneous exploration and development of sound real-time?
