Puppet Showplace Theater

Puppet Showplace Theater will present Sandglass Theater's new production of "Oma" to family and field-trip audiences in February, 2023. This heartfelt and lively hand-puppet show features techniques that the artists inherited from their parents and grandparents, as well as showcasing their own personal and contemporary style. Based around the hubbub of a grandmother's birthday celebration, "Oma" examines the power of intergenerational and intercultural bonds within one family, through a bright and colorful story that will appeal to audiences of all ages. In addition to performances and post-show talks, Sandglass will offer two workshops: a puppet-making workshop for children and a workshop in personal testimonial storytelling for adults.
