In the beginning of November, the company of Ananya Dance Theater will be performing at Bates College in Schaeffer Theatre. The company will bring to the stage Dastak: I Wish You Me. After the company performance on Monday, Nov. 7th, Dr. Chatterjea will stay an additional two weeks to create a dance work for student artists. She will also teach classes and the piece created by both students artist and by Dr. Chatterjea, will be shown during the Fall Dance Concert in early December. Ananya will visit four different classes throughout campus and there will be a post-show discussion after the performance.
