Iva Brito

Iva Brito is a Cape Verdean poet, artist, and educator who uses art to deepen people’s connection to their own roots. Before founding her own consulting firm, Iva was the Director of Bristol Community College’s Women’s Center and the National Park’s Artist in Residence. She is a lifelong resident of New Bedford and fluent in Kriolu, Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

Tobey Eugenio

Tobey Eugenio is an artist, educator, and outdoor classroom designer who serves as the Creativity Director and STEAM Teacher at Our Sisters’ School (OSS), an independent, tuition free middle school for low-income girls in the greater New Bedford area. Tobey is a consultant for Nature Explore, which supports programs that connect children with nature. She has designed 15+ outdoor maker spaces and spent 30+ years teaching educators how to create spaces that utilize creativity to forward social change.

Emma York

Emma York is a writer, dancer, educator, researcher and curriculum designer who serves as the Associate Director of Education and Community Engagement at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center in New Bedford. She was previously the 7th/8th Grade Humanities Teacher at OSS and is a lifelong resident of New Bedford. She has spent her career providing students with the tools to analyze and address issues of inequality in their own communities.

Kristin McCullin

Kristin McCullin is a landscape architect who serves as the Horticulturalist for the Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens, a 6 acre Trustees of Reservations property in New Bedford that features public art, wellness programming, and greenhouses.
