This summer legendary New Wave synth-pop duo Clever and Vainglorious Kings (CVK) returns from the void to perform their complete 1986 studio album Extended Play, recorded just before their sudden breakup and mysterious disappearance. Prompted pre-pandemic by theater artists and archivists James Stanley and Jesse Hawley, CVK finally re-emerge as the “new gods” they’ve always claimed to be, resuming their roles as “light-bringers in an ever-darkening world" in a residency of performances at Wilbury Theatre Group in Providence, RI.
