Next Stage Arts Project

Next Stage Arts will present Boom Chick Trio, a Boston-based energetic trio consisting of Rob Flax, Slava Tolstoy, and Max Ridley playing virtuoso violin, guitar, and bass plus three part harmony vocals. The group is rooted in equal parts hot swing, snarky songwriting, and lyrical storytelling, combined to create an engaging and exciting concert experience.
This performance is impactful for Next Stage’s local audience, as Boom Chick Trio’s innovative compositions are a rare treat for the rural village of Putney, a small town with a population of only 2,600 people. Next Stage works to bring a diverse range of music and performance styles into its theater, with the intention of broadening horizons and making high quality arts experiences more accessible for all. Presentation of Flax’s work provides a unique opportunity for community members from all backgrounds to interact with this modern interpretation of classical instrumentals.
