NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley

NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley, in partnership with the Woonsocket Afterschool Coalition, seeks to present Lisa Bello on Wednesday, April 17 as part of a monthly series of Community Concerts & Pizza Parties celebrated on the Millrace Patio at the gateway to downtown Woonsocket, RI. The series aims to increase pride in place, activate public spaces, and build community through the power of the arts. Each night is a celebration of local diversity through incredibly talented New England musicians of different backgrounds, genres, races, ethnicities, and identities. These events intentionally foster deepen bonds between community members through the preparation and sharing of pizza cooked on-site. Importantly, an educational workshop for area youth is scheduled just prior to the performance to increase appreciation of the arts. Lisa Bello and her band will be a powerful addition to an eclectic lineup, directly exposing 250 Rhode Islanders to her original Rhythm & Blues music.
