Lenora Lee Dance

Dance collaborator Flora Kim will visit the Tall Ship Wavertree to meet with museum staff, and scholars, historians to do research with Lenora Lee regarding the topic of the project. This part of the tour requires additional resources and time at the NYC venue, given we will be integrating NYC based dancers and teaching them existing choreography, in addition to creating new material, and building the piece as an immersive performance on Wavertree. This NDP Travel Fund grant is invaluable given the number of times Flora and Lenora will need to travel to NYC to craft the piece, and garner support and partnerships to make this leg of the project a success.
