“Two,” created and performed by choreographer/dancer Shura Baryshnikov (MA) and cellist/composer Adrienne Taylor (RI), is an intimate conversation between musician and dancer. Through an unfolding chapter structure in one act, Baryshnikov and Taylor explore a rich landscape of both improvised and through-composed material in service of a deeply felt and palpable depth of listening, communication and play.
As part of the fourth annual Motion State Dance Festival, Motion State Arts will present two public performances of “Two” on March 1 and 2, 2024. Baryshnikov will also offer a master class accompanied by Taylor during the festival on March 2, 2024.
