Next Stage Arts Project

Next Stage Arts will present Session Americana, a cast of top-shelf players, singers, and writers who tour internationally, taking their own songs, plus hundreds more from the American songbook, on the road. The group has been performing together for over 20 years, and has brought new variations of classic Americana songs to venues across the country. Next Stage has previously brought Session Americana to its indoor theater in 2018, and is welcoming them back to Putney in response to community interest.
The local community in Putney and the surrounding region have a strong relationship to folk, blues, and Americana music, so presentation of musicians specializing in these genres regularly attracts a broad audience. The group will host a pre-concert reception for fans of the music, and provide an opportunity to connect with the musicians and learn more about their musical backgrounds, 20 years of work together, and history of American music.
