Next Stage Arts Project

Next Stage Arts will present Laura Sánchez' new Contemporary Flamenco production, Welcome to Holland!, and host Sanchez for an extended multi-day artists’ residency and community class. Welcome to Holland! is a solo work that combines flamenco with poetry, humor, spoken word and installation to uplift the traditionally invisible role of the caregiver.
Presentation of Welcome to Holland! will create a new opportunity for the local Southeastern Vermont community to experience the flamenco dance form, as performed by a traditional Spanish dancer/artist, and engage with the form through community activities aimed at accessibility and community support for traditionally underserved audiences. Next Stage strives to bring in a range of dance and performance styles, especially those with an international component and a community engagement aspect, which makes Laura Sánchez' contract engagement a perfect fit for the organization and the local community at large.
