HW and Dance Iquail will present Public Enemy - Detroit (PED) May 6 -11, 2024. Public Enemy - Detroit is an engagement project with both presentation and outreach components. This project includes two performances and two outreach workshops to engage existing and new audiences and promote access to the work and its themes-- Black male identity and social issues disproportionately affecting Black men (e.g., policing, incarceration, racialized violence). The two performances with pre-performance choreographer notes and post-performance talkbacks will occur at school and community sites. The outreach component includes two movement and dialogue-based workshops with Iquail Shaheed and a Dance Iquail colleague.
