The Colonial Performing Arts Center

The Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH is 100 years old this year. She opened January 29, 1924, and is still a vital performing arts center in the Monadnock region. The BIG NAZO! has been invited to perform and extend their rather unique congratulations during our community wide celebration. BIG NAZO! are an international touring troupe and creature-making studio composed of a collaborating group of fabricators, educators and performing artists who employ a variety of masks and wearable sculpture techniques to create mobile ‘alien creature’ performances as well as interactive engagement with audiences. Big Nazo! will perform on and off stage for our 100th Anniversary celebration incorporating a “creature show & tell” workshop by inviting audience members to “dress up” and take part in a creature dance party of existential joy and laughter.
