Leslie Parker will join PearlArts as one of our 2024/25 PearlDiving Movement Resident (PDMR) Artists. Each PDMR Artist recieved 4 weeks of rehearsal/studio time in our Braddock studio, as well as up to 10 hours with Herman 'Soy Sos' Pearl to work on any audio needs for the work. Parker will begin her residency in October 2024, with a week of community conversations to further the work. She will return in spring 2025 to take that work into the studio. As a part of her residency, Parker will host at least 1 community engagement event (Artist Talk, Workshop, Open Rehearsal, Etc.) and one work-in-progress showing. The dates for those activities will be decided after the residency period in October.
