Choreographer Jessica Roseman is writing chapters about her Nourish dance project for two new print publications, and will hire an editor to help clarify her writing.
A collection entitled "Mothers, Mothering, Land and Nature," edited by Jessie Carson, Dr. Jodie Hawkes and Dr. Pete Phillips for Demeter Press. Jessica’s chapter for this book will describe how her Nourish Project envelops her community engagements with Black mothers, as well as the workshops at LexFarm, culminating in her most recent solo dance concert, I’ll Meet You There.
"Jewish Arts and Somatics," a volume co-edited by Ben Spatz, Dr. Celia Weiss Bambara, Kristen Smiarowski, and Nicole Bindler, is part of Punctum Press’ "Advanced Methods: New Research Ontologies" imprint/series, edited by Ben Spatz. Jessica’s writing for this anthology will include her family’s immigration stories, and how their and her own emotional journeys translate into choreography.
