Center for the Arts at Kayenta

The Center for the Arts at Kayenta is thrilled to welcome Dan Froot & Company to Southern Utah to share their timely and complex theater production, Arms Across America. This ensemble adaptation is “theater to transform the gun debate into dialogue,” looking beyond gun-violence related facts and figures and engaging with real people’s stories. Over the course of the past six years, the company has conducted extensive oral histories of American families whose lives have been shaped by guns in South Florida, Montana and Southern California.

The theatrical performance will be staged as a series of short audio dramas, or radio plays, that are adapted from interviews with families whose lives have been altered by guns. The show was first incarnated as a podcast, and will premiere at UCLA’s Nimoy Theater in November 2024. The Center for the Arts is thrilled to be hosting this important work in our community on March 21 & 22, 2025.
