The New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) is pleased to announce that Leslie Miller Jewett has joined the organization as Finance Coordinator.
In this new role, Leslie is an integral member of NEFA’s Finance team. In addition to monthly reporting and reconciliation and additional accounting and financial support, she provides key support for NEFA’s human resource fiscal functions.
Leslie brings a robust history of fiscal and development work in the nonprofit and arts sectors. Most recently, she served as bookkeeper for the Ridhwan Foundation and as the fundraising coordinator at the Friends of Ridhwan. Before those roles, Leslie worked at The Record Co. in Boston in a role that encompassed accounting and fundraising work on a capital campaign to build a 12,500-square-foot facility in Dorchester, MA, which opened in January 2020. Her prior 15 years in the music industry included roles in distribution, marketing, and sales for a number of record labels.
“Leslie brings a solid background in nonprofit financial administration as well as a passion for the arts. Her experience working in and around multiple related roles is an asset for our work here at NEFA,” said Joseph Sweeny, NEFA’s interim finance director.
The New England Foundation for the Arts invests in artists and communities and fosters equitable access to the arts, enriching the cultural landscape in New England and the nation. NEFA accomplishes this by granting funds to artists and cultural organizations; connecting them to each other and their audiences; and analyzing their economic contributions. NEFA serves as a regional partner for the National Endowment for the Arts, New England’s state arts agencies, and private foundations. Learn more at www.nefa.org.
