"The Nicholas Brothers Project" is a dance/theatre piece that tells the story of Fayard and Harold's rise to becoming two of the most prominent and greatest dancers of the twentieth century. From their early childhood in Philadelphia witnessing acts on the vaudeville stage to stars on the vaudeville circuit during the Harlem Renaissance, this project through song and dance celebrates the legacy they left behind in the dance world. The ultimate goal of this project is to create a fully realized stage production that takes us deeper into their personal lives, giving an opportunity to know these men beyond the Hollywood lights. The first step of "The Nicholas Brothers Project" to have a full choreography lab, workshopping the dances of the Nicholas Brothers. The next goal is to have a completed workshop script and have a first workshop the summer of 2025. At the conclusion of this workshop, there will be a full presentation to present the work that comes out of this workshop.
