West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts and the Upper Valley Music Center will team up for an exciting collaboration with the Grammy-winning Villalobos Brothers around music education and their music which is deeply rooted in the traditions of Veracruz Mexico, showcasing a vibrant blend of Son Jarocho, Son Huasteco, and Latin Jazz. The project deepens existing relationships between the artists and the two partnered organizations. During the residency the artists will rehearse and provide cultural information to the Suzuki Students at UVMC to prepare them for a May concert that will include a newly created work specifically for these students by the Villalobos Brothers. Both Lebanon and Claremont NH will host concerts with the artists who already have a loving following in the Upper Valley, with a performance by UVMC students in May with the Villalobos Brothers, and a performance by the Villalobos Brothers and their band being presented during the summer in downtown Claremont.
