On the Boards

On the Boards will present the world premiere of Leviticus or Love and to walk amongst HUMANS: Book II, a site-responsive dance performance by dani tirrell, at Kubota Garden in South Seattle from May 29-31, 2025. This free, immersive event will feature movement, music, and storytelling centered on Black and LGBTQ+ experiences, inviting audiences on a journey through lamentation, renewal, and celebration. The project includes pre- and post-show gatherings, community conversations, and artist-led workshops in partnership with CD Forum, Velocity Dance Center, and the Kubota Garden Foundation. Accessibility measures such as ASL interpretation, ADA pathways, and amplified sound will ensure an inclusive experience. Through this project, OtB continues its commitment to fostering innovative, artist-led work that reimagines public space and expands access to contemporary performance.
