NEFA Appoints New Program Associate

The New England Foundation for the Arts announced that Summer Confuorto (Gros Ventre/Mi'kmaq)

has joined the organization as Program Associate, primarily supporting NEFA’s Native Arts and Public Art programs.
 
Originally from Falmouth, MA, and currently a resident of Brookline, MA, Summer holds a B.A. in Spanish and a Certificate in Native American Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2006).  “Summer’s experience working in cultural organizations and knowledge of the region’s Native communities are great assets, and we are thrilled to welcome her to NEFA,” said Native Arts program manager Dawn Spears (Narragansett).
