(Boston, MA) The New England Foundation for the Arts announced that Deidra Montgomery has joined the organization as a development associate.

Most recently, Deidra worked as a paralegal for Sherin & Lodgen LLP in Boston. Earlier, she served as a program manager for PALS Children’s Chorus of Brookline and as an AmeriCorps volunteer rural music educator for Ethos Music Center in Oregon. An avid Sacred Harp singer, she has been a member since 2008 of the Western Massachusetts Sacred Harp Community in Northampton, MA, serving on a number of committees. She has served as a music grants guest panelist for the Somerville Arts Council.

A resident of Somerville, Massachusetts, Deidra received a B.A. in music from Amherst College (2010), and will complete a M.A. in Arts Administration program from Goucher College in August, 2015. “Deidra’s experience as an administrator, artist, and arts educator makes her a great fit for NEFA,” said NEFA’s development manager Sarah Long Holland. “We are thrilled to welcome her.”
