An evening-length theatrical flamenco interpretation of the text and themes in Sophocles' classic work developed by Artistic Director/Choreographer Martin Santangelo in collaboration with composer Antonio Rodriguez and principal dancer Soledad Barrio. Theater director Lee Breuer (of Mabou Mines) will co-direct and visual artist Mary Frank will design sets, costumes, and masks. The score is a mix of original contemporary and ancient musical forms.
