Lincoln Center is thrilled to present Ragamala Dance's Song of the Jasmine with saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa during the 2014 Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival. The project will combine Ragamala's eye for movement that reveals the tension between traditional and contemporary forms with Mahanthappa's hybridization of progressive jazz and South Indian classical music. The work will be presented at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park Bandshell on Thursday, August 7, 2014, with an Artist Talk on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
