The University of Vermont Lane Series

On Friday, October 18, A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra with guest clarinetist David Krakauer will perform on the Lane Series. The program includes Hildegard von Bingam “the Origin of Fire,” and Beethoven “Heiliger Dankgesang,” . The heart of the program will be a performance of a haunting work by Osvaldo Golijov “The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind” based on the writings of a 13th century Rabbi of Provence. As part of their visit, the group will also perform a workshop activity with students and a pre-concert Q and A with the audience.
