The Mahoosuc Arts Council is presenting the Makanda Project as part of a mini tour of performances and workshops in Western Maine April 21-22, 2014. The group has a belief in the importance of building a presence and role of the music of world-renowned multi-instrumentalist, composer, orchestrator and educator Makanda Ken McIntyre through community and education. This group will be presented as part of the Gould Performing Arts Series and the Mountain Arts Performing Series at Hebron Academy. A 3rd location will host masterclasses in between.
