Redfern Arts Center at Keene State College

The Redfern Arts Center at Keene State College is presenting 11-member Ethiopian Pop ensemble from Boston, Debo Band, in November 2013. Debo Band offers an innovative and exuberant take to Ethiopian Music, fusing traditional melodies and harmonies with influences of Eastern European gypsy music, jazz, soul, and rock. The residency provides the Redfern an exciting opportunity to connect Ethiopian music and culture to a range of audiences, and includes a workshop, a class discussion, and post-show meet-and-greet and reception with the artists.
