Ballet Memphis' Devil's Fruit will be toured with an NDP subsidy for engagements in the 14/15 season in an evening that will also include Trey McIntyre's In Dreams and Matthew Neenan's Party of the Year. Julia Adam's ballet Devil's Fruit makes use of large white, photographic umbrellas - onto which stunning mushroom images are projected. The mushroom images are also projected on the upstage scrim, referencing the sheltering shape of the mushroom, its umbrella cap; its psychedelic properties; and the elfin/fairy world it is associated with.
