The International Festival of Arts and Ideas will present five performances of “Arguendo” in June 2014. In “Arguendo,” Elevator Repair Service (ERS) turns its unique theatrical perspective on a 1991 First Amendment case in which a group of exotic dancers, citing the First Amendment, challenged a ban on public nudity. ERS stages the oral argument of the case verbatim in a highly physical production. Engagement activities include post-show discussions and panel lectures with the creative team, constitutional scholars, and journalists.
