Zili Misik, a Boston-based all-female world music ensemble will perform as the inaugural event of Summer at the CFA 2014 at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. This is an annual free outdoor concert that is programmed in collaboration with the CREC Center for Creative Youth, a talented and gifted pre-college program in the arts that is in residence at Wesleyan. Bandleader Kera Washington, a Wesleyan alumna, will also conduct an interactive workshop on world percussion forms for CCY music students.
