This project will undertake the restoration of one painting in the Frederick Leonard King WPA series, “Ships Through the Ages”. The painting is of the frigate Constitution and is currently on display at the East Boston branch of the Boston Public Library. A series of workshops is planned for East Boston High School students to learn about art conservation through art, chemistry, and history as the restoration is taking place.
