Arts Council of Tamworth

The members of the Wholesale Klezmer Band will visit Tamworth for three days to teach kids, musicians, and the general public about Klezmer music, Yiddish song and dance, and the historical and cultural underpinnings of these forms. Band members will also participate in a community harvest dinner/dance that includes both Yiddish dance and traditional New England square dances, and play a culminating Klezmer concert with the whole six-member band, with participation from students and area musicians.
