Bamboula: Musician's Brew is a collaborative project that emerged out of the research excavation on the connections between the Zulu Krewe – a blackface minstrel parade in New Orleans – and the Minstrel Carnival in Cape Town, South Africa. This interdisciplinary piece is choreographed by Millicent Johnnie and set to musical compositions by Charles Vincent Burwell, in collaboration with Isaac Points. Estimated artist fee: $17,000/performance, $30,000/week.
