En Garde Productions' Basetrack Live is a multidisciplinary work that combines theater, music, new media, journalism, and technology. Three actors perform social media exchanges between members of Marine Unit One/8 in Afghanistan and their loved ones at home. Their gripping stories are punctuated by photographs and videos taken by embedded journalists. Director Sarah Benson weaves Michelle DiBucci’s haunting score throughout the piece.
