Common Fence Music brings the Wholesale Klezmer Band to Common Fence Music Hall in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. This will be an opportunity to hear the outstanding band that has brought Yiddish music and culture to New England. Through their instrumental music, participatory dance and Yiddish songs translated with storytelling, this five-member band will introduce the CFM audience to traditional Eastern European Jewish culture, history, theatrics and humor. CFM will feature the Wholesale Klezmer “A Yiddish Song Singalong” program.
