On the Boards presents Michelle Ellsworth's Clytigation: State of Exception: Clytigation 1-4 uses choreography, ancient texts, and modern technology to explore the way war and its resulting legalities impact us physically. The pieces compare the Trojan War and its impact on ancient Greece with the way the Iraq and Afghan wars on terror and their resulting policies and technologies have impacted our day-to-day lives in the United States. Clytigation 1&2 are made for a small box with Clytigation 2 only available for a select audience of four, Clytigation 3 will be performed for a more traditional audience in a theater, and Clytigation 4 is already available as an online app.
