Mayo Street Arts will bring the excellent Roochie Toochie and the Ragtime Shepard Kings to New England for a tour. The group will perform a series of concerts, lectures, and workshops at Mayo Street Arts (Portland Maine), Denmark Arts (Denmark Maine), and New Hampshire sites via the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire. Roochie Toochie and the Ragtime Shepard Kings are a unique and engaging five member ensemble who have revived the zaniest and most obscure songs from Tin Pan Alley days, and perform them on a variety of instruments including violin, ukelele, and found objects including a tuned set of squeaky toy rubber pigs.
