The Yard

Michelle Dorrance returns to The Yard for a fourth visit headlining the popular 'TapTheYard 4 Festival' July of 2016 with her 2nd approach to 'ETM; The Initial Approach' (premiered Jacob's Pillow 2014) with the 2nd approach supported in creation through residency at the Joyce in 2015, and a 2-week residency at The Yard in August 2015. The Yard's long-standing commitment to this ingenious, groundbreaking tap and rhythm artist continues with this five-partner 2015-2016 tour, the artist's first major regional tour in New England. The project will continue to build a wider, stronger audience for tap and related forms and provide ongoing support to a remarkable artistic voice in the field today.
