Complex Movements’ Beware of the Dandelions (BotD) is a multidisciplinary performance and installation exploring transformation and social justice as complex systems. The piece explores the premise that change occurs through critical connections rather than critical mass. Using interactive hip hop performance, video projections and creative technologies, this performance-based installation explores the relationship between art, science and social justice. Inspired by philosopher/activist Grace Lee Boggs and decentralized, community-led social justice movements, the project provokes audience members to participate in the performance, feeding their own ideas into improvised sections.
