Over February 29 – March 26, 2016, Danspace Project will present PLATFORM 2016: “A Body in Places” as a multi-week engagement of artist Eiko Otake’s first solo performance project. “A Body in Places” draws upon Eiko’s current research into global environmental, artistic and humanitarian issues, including the cataclysmic 2011 tsunami and subsequent nuclear meltdown in Fukushima, Japan. The Platform will encompass four weeks of programming which will take place both in and around Danspace’s performance venue of St. Mark’s Church (Manhattan, NYC).
