Paola Prestini's new work combines elegant music with stunning visual elements to paint an allegory on time, youth, and the peculiar magic of ordinary life. Aging Magician intertwines puppetry, theatre, shadow play, and fascinating scenic designs with an on-stage youth chorus to bring to life this "potent, soulful" and "enigmatic" tale of one man's journey to uncover his own legacy. Co-created by composer Paola Prestini, writer/performer Rinde Eckert, and director/designer Julia Crouch, this work will feature the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and the Bryant Park Quartet.
