In commemoration of the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death (1616-2016) and in order to enhance its 27 year-old annual Shakespeare Festival tradition during the month of April, Saint Anselm College will present Ensemble Chaconne to our campus to conduct an afternoon demonstration of Early Modern instruments and music, followed by an evening performance featuring Shakespeare's songs explained and performed for students, faculty and the community at large. This performance will be a required part of the College's Freshman Humanities Program and an event coordinated with the touring First Folio exhibit at Manchester's Currier Museum for the Arts.
