A new evening length, multi-disciplinary performance by dancer/choreographers Asher Woodworth and Hana van der Kolk features visual, light, and sound design by Ethan Kiermaier. The work stems from embodied research into the notion that non-human entities (rocks, sounds, books, buildings, fires, climates) possess “thing-power” and exist utterly on their own terms, exerting an influence on human projects and behavior. The work evolves into an enchanting, beautiful virtual reality - a colorful, animistic world, where everyday objects turn uncanny, and bodies are elevated to the status of religious symbology. The audience must decide what to accept and reject in a deluge of viewpoints and data.
