Carolina Performing Arts (CPA) will present the company zoe juniper for the first time in October 2016 with two performances of their new work “Clear & Sweet.” We are thrilled to be a co-commissioner of this unique project. The work explores the tradition of Sacred Harp Singing, a form of spiritual a capella that took root in Southern churches, but is now prevalent in secular settings across the U.S. The multi-disciplinary performance incorporates dance and live vocals to create an immersive audience experience. Sacred harp singers will interact with the audience as the evening unfolds creating a performance that is physically, visually, and sonically engaging.
