Everett Company of Providence, RI's newest piece "Freedom Project", is a stunning multimedia physical theater piece that interweaves gripping personal stories, evocative imagery, and athletic choreography in an examination of mass incarceration in America. The piece is a collage of facts, images, spoken word, choreography and multimedia that call upon our common humanity to challenge the conditions that have transformed the “land of the free” into the most incarcerating country in the world. The piece and the accompanying Freedom Cafes will travel to the Ko Festival of Performance in Amherst, MA, MCLA Presents! in North Adams, MA and Vermont Performance Lab in Southern Vermont.
