The Yard deepens an ongoing relationship between Camille A. Brown and Dancers (CABD) and the diverse population of Martha’s Vineyard when CABD returns to the island in July of 2017 for the company’s third Yard residency. CABD will perform "BLACK GIRL: LINGUISTIC PLAY" (begun in creative residency at The Yard in 2014) at the MV Regional High School Performing Arts Center in Oak Bluffs, home to a centuries old African-American community, where CABD presented "Mr. TOL E. RANCE" in 2014. Testifying to The Yard’s long-standing and ongoing commitment to this groundbreaking artist, CABD will simultaneously work in residence for two weeks at The Yard on the development of Brown’s newest work, "INK."
