Collins Center for the Arts, University of Maine

The Collins Center will present one public performance and one bus-in school performance of Cirque Mechanics' "Pedal Punk". A key facet of this project is the broad appeal and accessibility of the material resulting from the weaving together of theater, dance and "new circus arts". It allows the performance to be enjoyed for its acrobatic spectacle but also challenges the audience to reflect on the thematic aspects of the show: technology's effect on society and artistry as means of self actualization.
