Nobody Lives Here Now is a poetic fable that explores the nature of disappearance as part of the fragile human condition. The piece tells the story of a fantastical world where the things that anchor us — home, culture, people — rapidly shift and erode, and the characters find themselves faced with sudden transformation. What happens when things vanish in an instant, when our vitality, place, and identity disappear? A fervent classical music score highlights the work. The work can be performed with a live string quartet. The work debuted as part of the Company's 30th Anniversary Season at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Estimated artist fee: $25,000/performance, $48,000/week
