“What Fuels Development?” stages the true story of a successful community intervention in Skid Row, Los Angeles, that we, as a theater group were actively involved in, and that resulted in stopping an irresponsible development project. This success gave the community amplified voice in the determination of future development projects and sparked a community visioning process. NTP transition funds will be used for our designer to travel to and oversee the installation of our immersive theater set and site specific lighting and for artistic staff to make an advance visit to implement audience development by engagement with community groups, universities and local government.
