C E Morse Fine Art Photography (Maine)
C E Morse describes himself as a "habitué of classic car boneyards" ever since he bought a 1936 Pontiac at age 15. His first go-to boneyard was Johnnie Monroe's in South Thomaston, Maine where he discovered incredible visual compositions in the distressed iron & glass. "These compositions filled with line, color and texture," he says, "inspired me the same way as some of the best abstract art... I swapped my toolbox for a camera and started to capture wild art." Christal Brown/INSPIRIT (Vermont)
Christal Brown is the founder of INSPIRIT, Project: BECOMING, the creator of the Liquid Strength training module for dance, and the Chair of Dance at Middlebury College. She is a native of Kinston, North Carolina, where she remembers cleaning up on Saturday mornings as a child to the music of the Chi-Lites, Marvin Gaye, and Shirley Caesar. These rituals innately produced a strong desire in her to make all work melodic, sensual, meaningful and set to music. Learn more about her process on her excellent profile.

The vibrant artist community and cultural institutions, all within short walking distance, are bound to awaken your imagination. Seaport Cultural District is where you will also find 49 cultural attractions, 29 creative economy businesses 12 art galleries with a diverse representation of art forms for any taste, including watercolors, oils, ceramics, mixed media, sculpture, metals, and much more.
Lebanon Opera House (New Hampshire)
Lebanon Opera House is the only community-based theater of its size in west-central New Hampshire and the cultural focal point of the greater Lebanon community. Throughout its colorful history – from meeting house, to movie house, to the active, year-round, fully renovated performing arts facility it is today – Lebanon Opera House has come a long way since it was built in 1924 but the organization still honors its rich tradition of arts, education, and community every day.
Lin Collette (Rhode Island)
Lin is a collage and mixed media artist who says that art for her is, "a process of healing, of putting broken pieces together... I take what previously has been separate and assemble it into a cohesive whole." Very frank about her ongoing battle with mental illness and the role art has played in helping to make sense of it all, Lin describes her collages as humorous, quirky, and "sometimes warped." She's a regular exhibitor in the annual VSA Arts Rhode Island Paul Sherlock Art Exhibition, and has even exhibited internationally at the G.L.U.E. Exhibiton of Collage Art in Edinburgh, Scotland just this year!
Pepperbox Studio (Vermont)
Pepperbox Studio invites you to focus on your creativity in the heart of rural Vermont. The Pepperbox rule of thumb relies on state-of-the-art but not "too" much technology to support honest self expression. They encourage you to "hunker down with acoustic instruments or turn your amps to ten - whatever it takes." But don't be fooled - it's not all work and no play. Nicole Stanton (Connecticut)
Nicole Stanton is a dance artist, educator and activist currently serving as an Associate Professor of Dance, and faculty in African American Studies, the College of the Environment, and the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance at Wesleyan University. Nicole has been working at the intersection of art making, community organizing and activism for nearly twenty years. As a scholar and educator her work centers on the cultures and histories of the African Diaspora and the ways in which dance serves as a site of reclamation and resistance.
